I would like to book my pet/s in with a particular Petsitter, is this possible?Absolutely! When booking through the portal you can request your preferred Sitter in the notes section. We try our best to accommodate your request, however, If the Sitter already has a booking or is unavailable, we do our best to give you an available Sitter who we think would be a good fit for your pet/s.

An interstate relative has just passed away and I need to go away at very short notice. Does The Friendly Petsitters accept last minute bookings?Yes! If we have a sitter available, we’ll need to squeeze in a Meet ‘n’ Greet/key pick up but we can often arrange this quite quickly, especially if you’ve previously used our services.

I have two dogs and a cat. Do I have to pay per pet?No. All prices are as per household and not per pet/s.

My pet/s are accustomed to sleeping on the bed with me. Will my petsitter sleep in the bed with my pet/s?Of course!

I would like to book multiple services one the same day. Is this possible? If so, how do I do this?Yes this is possible. You can double up on the days, changing the time, dates, service after adding the first lot of services to your cart, by clicking “Add Another Service”. We explain this in further detail on our Book Now page, under ‘Requesting a booking’.

Can I meet my petsitter before the booking?Of course! All our petsitting services include a Meet ‘n’ Greet with your petsitter, after your booking has been confirmed.

I would like a petsitter to care for my pet/s outside of my home (eg, in the petsitters home). Do you provide this?No. All of our petsitting services are provided where the pets are most comfortable – in their own home.

I have booked overnight stays, but I don’t want my pet/s left alone for long during the day. Will my petsitter also stay with my pet/s during the day?We have just moved our Overnight bookings from 5:30pm to 7:30am only, to a Live-in service where our Sitters can come and go, but will be in your home from around 5:30pm to 7:30pm, which leads to the Sitters spending a bit more time with your pet/s. However, if you would like the sitter to definitely be there throughout the day, perhaps you could consider combining your Live-in booking with a Full Day booking/ Part Day Visit/ midday drop-in visit or extended drop-in visit?

Will my petsitter walk my dog in off-leash areas?No. For safety and insurance reasons, our petsitters do not provide off-leash dog walking (in dog parks or otherwise).

Do you offer dog walks?Yes we do! At this stage for safety reasons, we are only walking small to large breed dogs that don’t pull much on the lead. We hope to cater to Giant breeds in the near future. In the meantime, we run and play with these dogs in their backyards to give them an energy outlet and some enrichment within their day.

How do I pay?You will be emailed an invoice and this invoice provides payment details. Invoices can be paid via electronic bank transfer.

My pet requires medication. Will my petsitter be able to administer this in my absence?Our petsitters have experience in administering medications including pills and insulin injections. All their medication requirements can be added and updated at any time in the Client Portal, under the pet’s name. You can also add a “Requires Medication” message in notes when requesting a booking, this way we will be instantly aware of your pet’s needs. If you have any concerns, have a chat with us about your pet’s requirements and we’ll see what we can do for you.

Registering an AccountTo register an account please click “Register Now”. You will then be prompted to add an email and create a password. Have a read of our Terms & Conditions before ticking the box and proceeding with adding your details. Please don’t forget to add your pet’s details by clicking “add pet” under ‘My Information’. Adding your pet means we can offer you a sitter that fits your pet’s needs. Dogs and Cats vaccination records can be added under the pet’s name in “Vaccinations”.

Covering BookingsWe will try to have your booking covered as soon as possible. We send a confirmation email as soon as your booking has been added to a petsitter’s schedule. We will send you an email asap if we cannot cover your booking. Bookings that are booked well in advance are appreciated and will receive a priority number. These bookings will be covered two months before the booking commences.

Requesting a BookingTo request a booking, click “Request Services” in the menu section. This will bring you to a calendar. Select every date you want a particular service on. Select a service. Pending on the type of service, you may need to choose a time/time-range. Add in ‘Notes’ if you would like a particular Sitter and/or the departure and return dates for your time away. * This helps us ensure the booking dates are correct and can try to get assign the Sitter you want for your pets (pending availability) Click ‘add to cart’. Double check your booking dates. Submit if completed. Follow next steps to book multiple services on the same day. Bookings can be made up until 7 days before commencement, pending on the booking type. View your Request’s Status under “View Schedule” Adding Multiple bookings for the same day 1. Select one of the services you would like. Select the day and time this will be. Add to cart. 2. Click “Add Another Service”. 3. Change if required: Dates Service Time 4. Click “Add to Cart”. 5. You can do this as many times as needed. 6. Double check everything is correct before clicking “Submit Now”.

Service ReportsService Reports are how the Sitters communicate with you about how your pet is going. This daily report can be viewed under “View Schedule” and clicking ‘Service Report’ which appears under each day that a report has been sent. A copy of the report is also sent to your email, showing the time that the Sitter has Checked in/out and will contain photos and information on how your pet is and what the Sitter did for your pet.

Paying InvoicesYou can get a downloadable copy of your invoices under “Invoices” Every booking will receive two invoices Non-refundable Deposit Invoice due immediately Final Balance Invoice due 2weeks before booking commencement A third invoice will be sent out with a late fee if there is a failure to pay within 24hrs of the due date (unless management is contacted prior to this) Failure to pay 5 days before booking commencement without notification, will lead to the cancellation of the booking. Bookings are not confirmed until the Deposit is received. Failure to pay 48hrs after receiving the invoice, the booking will be moved back to Requests. What is due and When, can be found under “Account Summary” Please email us if you cannot pay on time.

Cancelling BookingsThis can be done through “View Schedule” until about 7 days — pending on the booking type — before the booking commences. Please email us if you cannot cancel and we will fix it up for you. *fees apply

Adding the AppOur Client Portal is run through the Petsitting Software called PetSitter Plus. There currently is not an app, However the website is app ready and can operate on your phone/ iPad/ tablet like an app once you add it to your homescreen. You can create a PSP icon (shortcut) for your phone's home screen for quick and easy access: If you have an Android phone, follow the instructions: Click on the mobile link in your "log-in" email. You are taken to the PSP mobile site. Click the 3 dots icon next to your address bar (if you don't see the dots you may not be using Chrome). Select "Add to Home Screen." Click "ADD." You can now see the shortcut on your Home Screen of your cellphone. If you have an iPhone, follow the instructions here: Click on your Pet Sitter Plus URL in your "log-in" email, or copy the URL and paste it into your browser's address bar. You will now be on your Pet Sitter Plus log-in screen. Click the "share" icon on your phone. It looks like a box with an upward arrow pointing out of it. The icon is often located at the bottom, center of the page. Scroll across and tap the option to "Add to Home Screen." You will be asked to confirm the name of the shortcut, which you can abbreviate if you prefer. Tap "Add." You can now see the PSP shortcut/icon on your iPhone's Home Screen. Note: If you use Chrome or Firefox on your iPhone and do not see the below option available, you can add your Pet Sitter Plus login URL to your favourites, bookmark it, or add it to your Top Sites.
